aww, sorry you're sick! hope you feel better real soon.
days of rain was hell!
I had a nightmare last night that woke me up at four in the morning. The nightmare transferred into my reality this morning. My furnace was off. EEEEEEEEEK! Luckily, I got the pilot relit and she's humming away again. The temp outside is a nasty minus ten with the windchill. Freakishly cold here in Pittsburgh.
There are two heating and cooling company vans parked in front of houses on my street this morning. I feel sorry for those folks. What a time to lose your furnace. My nightmare involved bursting pipes and ice flows across my dining room floor.
So, it turned out to be a very good thing that I decided to call in sick today. Fateful perhaps. I've been battling this bizarre intestinal thing for days and felt a little feverish this morning. The symptoms are really odd. Theresa had it first so I know it's something going around and not just stomach upset. You get these weird, totally debilitating, pains that shoot up your sides. The first time it happened, it literally froze me in my tracks. I keep burping all the time too. Nice.
I plan to get some things organized today like my tax filing and other paper sorting. I've been making excellent headway on shredding old bills and statements. I filled up a huge contractor sized garbage bag with shredded paper. It feels good to have some more room in my file cabinet and the clutter off of my desk. My beautiful shepherd, Zoe, could use a good brushing too. She's shedding to beat the band (as always). Tonight, it's off to bowl with my league, assuming my stomach is alright by then.
Stay warm!
