I'm sad one moment today and giddy the next.  First, I remember how absolutely surreal my life felt on September 11, 2001, and how many we lost that day and, second, I remember I'm leaving for a vacation Thursday with Theresa.  We're going to the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas, for the three-day sweltering extravaganza. 

We stopped at Target yesterday to find some soft seats to help make three days of chair-less band watching endurable.  At one point, we actually had a child's set of cushy life vests in the cart -- hell, they were small, cushioned our rear ends nicely, and discounted to make room for the fall sports paraphenalia.  Somehow I just couldn't find it in myself to whip out child's water wings to plant my ass on in the middle of 65,000 music hipsters.  We ended up at Dick's Sporting Goods and found everything we needed including a hand held fan for $1.50 and stadium seat pads for $5.00.  Waaaay awesome!

I'll write all about my little adventure when we get back next week.  Until then, I'll be making lists, doing laundry, and ticking off the to-do's en masse.
